Show WESTERN LEAGUE CIRCUIT CHANGES Chicago, Nov. 2. Western league magnates will gather in Chicago for their annual fall conference and business busi-ness session on November 12. President Presi-dent "Tip" O'Neill, announced the date yesterday and sent out notices of the meeting requesting the club-owners' club-owners' presence here ou the above-dale. above-dale. About the only big topic which the Western league magnates will have to dispose of Is the move to make a shift in the present circuit. The entire en-tire move hinges about the Topeka franchise, which was not a money-mak er last reason, and this has caused the present clulowners to favor a change. Should tho proposed move take place, either Colorado Springs or Oklahoma Ok-lahoma City will be admitted, which will. There Is an even cnance, however, ftiat Topoka will rema.n In the league for another year at least, as the Commercial Com-mercial club of that city is making an effort to take over tne franchise from Ihe present owners, and keep the club going, regardless of the financial end The magnates in me other seven towns of the league have not made known their attitude on the proposed change, but have turned the entire matter over to President O'Neill with a request that he look Into the affair. |
