Show CHILE FRIENDLY WITH AMERICA New York, August B. President Pedro Montt of Chile, who Is in New-York New-York en route to Europe, will not neglect ne-glect the opportunity when he meets President Taft tomorrow to have a beart-to-hearl talk regarding the relations rela-tions of their countries. The relations, the Chilean president declares In an interview published here today, are ample and cordial, but they might be closer "I want to speak with President Taft," says President Montt, "of the immediate future. Five years hence the United States will open the Panama Pana-ma canal. Chile and the United States are good friends and will, I believe, always remain so. Chile is a sea country whose wealth Is in mines and commerce. When you open the Panama canal I want to see the United Unit-ed States engaged In commerce with us. I hope there will be one or two regular steam6blp lines between Valparaiso Val-paraiso and New York. "That is what J w ish first to speak of to Mr. Taft I want also to discuss Chilean politics with him.
