Show CONFESSES TRAIN ROBBERY. That confession of a man in Idaho, that he was one of four who robbed the Oregon Short Line train on the outskirts of this city on June 27 is a confession seemingly without any prompting motive such as conscience, hope of reward or fear and it is well to accept it with reservation- If Bud Rogers has been caught "with the goods," that may explain ex-plain his confession, but the dispatches offer no explanation for his self-immolation except that he was unfairly dealt with in the division divis-ion of the "swag," and revenge dictated his course. "Bud" may be what is known as a "hop head," who, when filled with a drug such as cocaine, can tell more fanciful tales of adventure than arc contained in the story of the ten thieves in Arabian Nights. |
