Felgler was arrested after the officers offi-cers had learned that he and George Bombard had quarreled several times recently because Felgler objected to Bombard and Morgan hunting on his farm. In his statements to Chief Zlmmor, I-'olglor attempted to direct suspicion to another man. This man, it is said, will be arrested today. Felgler admitted that he quarreled with the Hern hards at their home last Wednesday. He said he went there to notify Hernhard and his friend.? that they must stop hunting on his farm. GH.rge resented his statements, ho said, and a quarrel followed. Felgler said that Mrs. Hernhard camo out of the house and entered into the controversy. contro-versy. Felgler Insisted that he was Innocent, Inno-cent, but Chief Zlmmor. was not satisfied satis-fied whh his statements. After ho had questioned Fefglor the chief went to Felgler's farm, Intending to make a careful search of the premises. The prisoner will be held in Jail pending further developments. The authorities believe tho murders mur-ders were committed either Wednesday Wednes-day night or early Thursday morning of last week, as Wednesday night was the last time lights were seen In tho Ilernbard home A coroner's Jury was Impaneled at Olathe, Kan., this morning and an inquest in-quest will bo held on W ednesday. The funeral of the four victims of tho murder will be held at the Hern-hard Hern-hard farm tomorrow. The bodies of Mrs. Bernhard, George Demhard and Thomas H. Morgan will be brought to this city for burial. No relatives of James Graves have been located, and probably he will be burled by the county. i |
