Derrnh, who returned re-turned Saturday, "and the line was Tound to be In excellent shape and i:fghly interesting. The scenery is certainly superb and all along the 'ine the stations, stockyards and various vari-ous other features are well built and ready for business. "In company with Mr. Shot well I visited all the freight terminals in San Francifco and Oakland and found that here, loo, the most complete com-plete arrangements have been made for handling the traffic and in every way the trip was mosl instructive and interesting. As to any announcement, there is nothing new but the freight traffic continues to move satisfactorily satisfac-torily and much interest is shown along the route in the announcement of the passenger department of the opening of the line for regular trains to and from Salt Lake and San Fran Cisco on Avgust 22." |
