Show CHIEF OF POLICE TALKS TOPARENTS Chief of police Browning addressed a large gathering of parents at the Harrisville meeting house yesterday afternoon by special request. Mr. Browning's talks on ' Juvenll management and general advice to parents have nttracted much attention atten-tion throughout this vicinity and many communities have invited him to address special meetings for the I- -neflt of the young people as well ah the pnrrnu themselves. The meeting house at llariisville was filled to overflowing yesterday, many young people, being preGcnt as well as their elders. The general course of Mr. Browning's remarks was along the line of advice for girls end bore who have arrived at th? singe iu life where tbey begin to feel l he limits of home environments and long for something beyond, something more exciting than th? every-day amusements of which they have possibly pos-sibly grow n I li ed. He advised parents whose homes are In the country to make greater efforts to retain the Interest of their children at home; to vary, as much as possible, the home amusement.3 ard pleasures In a way so that the young people will not tire of what perhaps may appear to be limitations limita-tions to their enjoyments.
