Putrid Forester A. E. Sherman states that the conference between employes of the agricultural and interior in-terior departments of the government will open In Ogden next Saturday. ! September 10. That date has be:i 11 x d on, and, up to the present time, nothing has been said that would lead Mr, Sherman to make other arrangements. arrange-ments. He Is now preparing for the meeting. This meeting will be of considerable consider-able Importance and will have national nation-al slgnlllcance. The conference has been appointed by Secietary Wilson I of the agricultural department and Secretary Ralllnrer of the Interior department, de-partment, and an official order to the registrars and receivers of the local land offices of all the states west of the Missouri river, the law officers of the forest service of the six districts, chiefs of the land department and the field chiefs of the lorest service, for them to attend the conference, has been issued. It Is anticipated that there will be at least 100 government employes in attendance, and the conference con-ference will he in session at least four days. The purpose of the conference are briefly set worth In a letter to Mr. Sherman in the following follow-ing language: "The conference will be for the purpose pur-pose of discussing present claims procedure pro-cedure and will, cover all classes of claims upon the national forests, and also for the purpose, of eliminating any misunderstanding between the two departments In the field, if any exists.
