In his absence, "was voted a beautiful gavel as a token of esteem and In appreciation of tho efforts he had put forth in tho interests of tho association. In response to the presentation. pres-entation. Mr. Hills has written the following letter to A. R. Ilejwood. president of the Ogden Clearing House association; "Dear Mr. Heywoodi; On my return re-turn from San Francisco, I find that the Ogden Clearing House association associa-tion has sent me a beautiful gavel, which, as my daughter stated as she handed It to me, I 'hardly deserved,' on account of my not being ablo to attend the convention In Ogden. "Will you kindly thank the members mem-bers of the Ogden Clearing House association as-sociation for the valuublo present, which I appreciate more than I havo words to express. "I shall leave It to my children as a most treasured memento of my connection con-nection with the organization of the State Bankers' association of Utah. "With kind personal reKards, I nm.
