Show EXPECT' DECISION ON SALUAKE ROAD Salt Lake, Feb. 16 Within the next week or ten days something definite de-finite as to what tho Salt Lake route will do to repair the damage done by the flood In the Meadow valley wash may bo expected, according to an officer of the compauy this niorn-iug. niorn-iug. As announced several days ago, there is a strong probability that the road will be rebuilt, at least temporarily, tempor-arily, through the wash. It la claimed that by making a few changes, seeking seek-ing a higher grade through tho wash and widening some of the water courses, the route Is still the most feasible one that the road can secure. Locating Englueer Arthur Maguire of the company left Monday night and is now going over the country near Panaca, Bristol pass and Eknnett pass. He will inspect the country from a point near Acoma to Moapa. Last night General Manager R. K. Wells and Chief Engineer Tllton left for tho front. Tbey will go through tho Meadow valley wash from Callente to Moapa, and uopn their trip much depends. If they report that it Is feasible to rebuild the line through that part of the country It la believed that the report will be accepted. It was stated this morning that Ju6t as soon as a decision is made the work of rebuilding the road will commence. It is undtretood that men and material ma-terial arc being gathered and that the work cau be started within twenty-four twenty-four hours after the officers say the word. |
