Feb. 24 Senators Mlllies-TiCrolx Mlllies-TiCrolx and Tlntllhae fought a duel with swords in the Par des PInccs this morning. At tho first encounter Millies La Croix neatly parried a lunge by Tintllhac and ran tho latter through the forearm. Tintllhac wished to continue, but the seconds stopped the combat. The adversadle3 were reconciled before leaving the field. The dul was th outgrowth of a dispute dis-pute among the members of the senate sen-ate committee on secrecy of the ballot, bal-lot, of which Senator La Croix Is the president. The president called TJn-tllac TJn-tllac a liar, and tho latter responded: "My seconds will deliver my answer." an-swer." Senator La Croix was formerly minister of the colonies and Is CO years of age. Senator Tintllhac Is three years younger. Both are heavily heav-ily built. When they faced each other today they were attired In blouses and trousers of soft linen. |
