Show FARM DROPS INTO MISSOURI RIVER Atchison, Kan., Feb. 24. The few remaining acres of what was once a 400-acre farm of the finest bottomland has gone Into the Missouri river, and Richard Frakes. who owned the pn-p-erty is congratulating himself because be-cause three days ago he moved his 15-rootn bouse, grannry and other farm buildings out of danger. Great inroads have been made by the river on the farms in the bottom between the towns of Klckapoo and Fort Leavenworth. A 160-acre form owned by George Wetzel is entirely Inundated, and a farm owned by Mm. J. H. Glavln has been reduced from 72 to 5 acres. |
