Show MOVEMENT TO SECURE AN EIGHT HOUR DAY Spokane, June 2S. That a general movement io secure an eight-hour day for machinists throughout the country will be started at a convention of the International Machinists' union la Denver next September, is predicted by Thomas Van Lear, district president presi-dent for the northwest. "There will be nothing hasty or rash about this demand." states Mr. Van Lear, "and a year may elapse after the request befoie all machinists secure the eight-hour day." |
