Show I INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL BOYS ON AN OUTING. The Industrial school boys, in three groups, aro to leave the school Wednesday Wed-nesday morning for an outing In South Fork canyon. The youngsters aro to be segregated, the older boys in one camp, tho hand boys in another and the younger members of the party in a third tented city. This practice of taking the boys out where the wildwood, tho birds and brooks, will commune with them, and where they, in their own camps, will learn the' Importance of self-control and the necessity 'of doing unto others as they would expect others to do unto them, should bear good fruit. The Industrial school boys are tho raw material In the making of men. Properly guided, the great majority 6hould be made useful men and good citizens. They have minds which aro impressionable. Some genius should discover the open sesame to those heads and therein establish Ideas which. In the years to come, will go on reproducing ideas "until finally each boy shall find himself face to face with the beautiful In existence. What the Industrial school boys are in need of Is the development of their minds so that when those big eyes look out upon the world, they will not be able to convey wrong messages' as to the paths just ahead. |
