Show BOUQUET FOR HARRIMAN FAMILY SPECIAL TRAIN IS MET BY'WEBER CLUB MEMBERS. Two Boxes of Flowers, the Compliments Compli-ments of Ogden, Placed Aboard the Train at This Point Mrs. Edward H. Harrlman and family fam-ily arrived from I-os Angeles at 2 o'clock thia afternoon on n special train over the San Pedro and Oregon Short Line roads. The special, consisting con-sisting of four cars, arrived as tho first section of the Is Angeles Limited, Limit-ed, and Mrs. Harriman and party occupied oc-cupied Union Pacific private car No. 99. A pleasant feature of Mrs. Harrl-man'a Harrl-man'a brief visit to Ogdeu -was the presentation to her of two large boxes of beautiful Utah-grown flowers, with the compliments of the Weber club. The presentation was made by President Presi-dent Heywiod and Secretary Reynolds, Rey-nolds, and Mrs. Harrlman was deeply appreciative of the courtesy. The brief stop made by the train only admitted ad-mitted of happy felicitations being exchanged, ex-changed, but the event was of a cordial cor-dial and pleasant nature. Mrs. Harrlman was met at Ogden by General Superintendent W. L. Park of the Union Pacific railroad, who arrived in his private car on the westbound fast mall this afternoon to escort Mrs. Harriman and party to Omaha, and tho special train of 'four cars continued east shortly after 2 o'clock, with right-of-way over everything every-thing on tho Union Pacific road bo-tween bo-tween Ogden and Omaha. While the special has a fast schedule, sched-ule, and will stop' only at division points to exchange engines and crews, especial attention will be given to saftey, and all trains will be sidetracked sidetrack-ed and off the main lino in ample time to avoid delays or accidents of any nature na-ture on the thousand mile run from Ogden to the Missouri river. From Council Bluffs the special will continue east over the Chicago & Northwestern and New York Central roads. |
