Without a single juror permanently fixed 1n the box and with but four temporarily passed, the third week of Tatrick Calhoun's Cal-houn's trial on a charge of offering a bribe to a municipal official opened today. During the two weeks already devoted to the trial, over 300 citizens have been excused or rejected. It is practically admitted that at least a fortnight will elapse before the Jury Is completed and this period may be considerably extended, unless the proportion pro-portion of talesmen, entertaining fixed opinions as to the guilt or Innocence of the president of the United Railroads, Rail-roads, Is found to be diminished. |
