Show I SALT LAKE AND I 1 STATE NEWS WIFE'S PENCHANT FOR YOUNG MEN Salt Lake, Jan.' 24. Herald: Naming Nam-ing no less than half a dozen co-respondents and accusing his wifo of all sorts of wrongdoing, William E. Far-rer Far-rer is now suing for a divorce from her. Mrs, Phoebe Farrer filed an action ac-tion for divorce from him some tlmo ago, but It was dismissed on Saturday at her own request There are a few things In the conduct con-duct of his wife to which Farrer has, he says, objected strenuously. These Include the entertaining of young men of questionable character in the house until midnight and sometimes later, and every night in the week. He particularly objected to this because he lost his sleep keeping an eye on them. One afternoon In February he says he found Mrs, Farrer alone with a strange man In one of their rooms. He asked a few questions, at which, he says, she flew Into a passion and cursed him roundly for half an hour, following up the cursing with an assault, as-sault, and administering a beating to him. He names Shelley Curtl6, James Wood6, Blsh Pitts and Reuben Brooks as a few of the young men whom his wifo entertained. Farrer alleges that she kicked him out of tire house on May 1, last, and gave him a beating on May 10. On May 20. he says, she told him In the presence of one Hans Hanson that she would rather live with the lowest creature crea-ture in Salt Lake City than with himself. him-self. He assorts that she Is unfit to have tho custody of the children. The children, chil-dren, whom he asks to keep, are both girls, aged 11 and 12 years. He also asks that his wife be decreed to have no title In his house and grounds, which, he says, are mortgaged for 3.000. The Farrers are both .middle-aged people. They were married in Salt Lake, November 13, 189C. |
