The rescue of the six men left on board the wrecked American schooner Sequel fast on Sea Bird rocks and Mate Swensou, who had remained on the recks, was effected this morning soon after daybreak, by the crew of the Canadian Pacific steamer Tees and the lifeboat crew from Bamfleld, which wtnt to the wreck on tho Rtpftmer Leobro, and all were transferred to tho United States ship Manning, to bo taken to Neah Bay for medical tieatment. The bodies of the victims of tho disaster, Captain Henningson and child, who were killed by falling spars when the two after-masts came , down after the schooner drovo on the' rocks, were not recovered and tho Bamfleld life saving crew made an effort this morning to get the bodies frcm the lost vessel. When darkness came la6t night the Tees and the Lecbro took the five men recovered from the little rock oil Seabird islet to Bamfleld. The United States steamship Manning, Man-ning, which arrived from Neah Bay with the United States lifeboat and life saving crew threw her searchlight |
