Show SYSTEMATIC SEARCH TO BE MADE FOR AMERICANS Rome, Jan. 1. Ambassador Griscom this morning sent to Messina Major J. F. Reynolds Iandls. the American military mili-tary attache, Bayard Cutting. Jr . the American vice consul at Milan, Wln-throp Wln-throp Chandler and the interpreter of the embassy, with full Instructions concerning the methods to be adopted in the search for Americans, supposed to have been in Sicily and Calabria at the time of the earthquake. The ambassador has taken to the government a relief fund for the sufferers suf-ferers of $50,000 from the Red Cross, as well as a contribution of $20,000 from the Christian Herald. |
