The governing govern-ing council of the American Association Associa-tion for the Advancement or Kclenco adopted a resolution offered by William Wil-liam H. Welch of tho Johua Hopkins University condemning the antl-vlvl-tecllon movement. Tho rewolutlon Bays: "Animal experimentation has been of Incalculable benefit to medical science and art, tho progress or which Is absolutely dependent on experimental experi-mental methods, as are all 'the physl cal and natural sciences," and declares, de-clares, "Scientific experiments on living liv-ing animals are essential to tho maintenance main-tenance and progress ot medicine and hinlorv." |
