Show ENTHUSIASTIC CROWDS ' LISTEN JrOBERT MORPHY An enthusiastic crowd listened to the singing by Bert Morphy, "The man who sings to beat the band," last night at Sylvan park. Mr. Morphy sang several popular airs and was applauded ap-plauded liberally by the visitors, who evidently consider him the main attraction at-traction of the nark resort. The management announces that Mr, Morphy will change his program of songs daily, so as to give the public an; opportunity of hearing him daily. Mr. Morphy was . to have signed a contract to sing at the Utah state fajr and was to have been considered the big feature of that carnival, but Ogden secured him for the only time he had open. i A special excursion will be 'run to ' Sylvau park Sunday next from Salt Lake City, bringing hundreds of visit- I ors Trom tiiH place to this city. On. Saturday the management of the park will permit all children visiting the park to ride free on the merry-go-round.. |
