Show G. A. R. FLORAL DESIGNS. Salt Lake City. Juno 17. William Naumann, the head gardener at the Temple block, is making preparations for nn attractive floral dlsplav in the Temple grounds during G. 4. R week Already some of the designs are being I worked out, notably one on the green sloping lawn south of the Temple. There the words Welcome" stand out in bold relief, and they are expected to appear much more so when all the flowers shall b0 fully out in bloom Beneath the word "Welcome" is a good reproduction of outstretched wi.ngs in chipped granite, gran-ite, and beneath that again u the . I A. K. badge and two flags, with Hie etlers "G. A- It." The red. white arrd blue flowers with which the piece is made up are expected to show at their best about the timo of tho G. A R encampment, and will no doubt prove a mute but effective token of the favor with which the veterans will be received re-ceived and cared for. Other deslcns are going to be made, which uhn completed will make the Temple grounds more striking than they have ever been. The grounds look better than ever this year. |
