Show BOUNTY IS PAID FOR ' THEJIG BROWN BEAR Jesse Elgin, John Clark, Louis Shaw and Thomas Rhodes drove up to the court house yesterday afternoon with a massive brown bear occupying a place of honor in the rear end -of tho wagon. The animal was the one killed kill-ed at Liberty, just abovo Huntsville, in the Ogden valley. A few minutes later he was killed and measured seven feet, three inches from nose to tip of tall. Tho hide is the color of a handsome mink, a beautiful brown, and will make a splendid rug. The bear will pvobably weigh In the neighborhood of 500 pounds, although his captors maintain main-tain that he will tip the scales at something over 800 pounds. The young men were paid a bounty of $10 for shooting the beast and are proud and jubilantly happy over their victory. |
