Oct. 28 I Tho finding of u man s coat and hat and paper near Goat Island bridge today Indicated that John E. Lea-I Lea-I man, of Iancaster Pa.. committed ! suicide during the night by going over ' the falls. A letter was found addressed to Mrs Helen Leaman No 133 South Queen street Lancaster, Pa. which reads in part "Dearest Helen May God forgive me for what I am doing, but there Is no other way Four happiness requires re-quires that you be free and this j the only way to make that possible; Please try to understand It all seems like a dream but It Is only too real "Fame, fame, Js cheaply earned by fleeting brt-ath I ' Rut the price of honor la tho sleep 1 of dr-at h ' Now t last you will understand that I 0 n you."
