Jenkins of Ogden was the first witness called this mortiv Ing and testified to h.ting lccp called to I'intah to attend Lloyd Bybee shortly short-ly after the shotlng Ho said that after aft-er the lad was brought to the gden hospital his condition became worse and an ojioratlon was performed I The bullet, he said, a was Indicated In x-ray photographs, pierced the abdominal ab-dominal walls and the liver and lodged in the lung tissues. Death resulted! tho physician said, ns a result of pneumonia pneu-monia whict't was caused by the bullet lodging In the lung tissues. She paid that Lloyd and Ja k I'ringle had met her and anottlex young teach-! er at n train and hud carried th-ir Suitcases for them after ihe had been' away for the weekend. A tew days following this incident M,s Bybee said that Christensen took her and the other teacher Into con-f con-f ni e at the school and said "If you go with those young men you will ruin your reputation." Miss Bybee said thai Christensen cautioned her several times against going about with Lloyd Bybee nd his friend. David "Rusty" Penman, a. chum of l.loyd Bybee and who was present 'when tho alleged shooting occuied. was 'on the witness stand during much of yesterday afternoon's session and told ihow he had gone with others to see l.loyd "bent up" Christensen on the .night of the shooting. W hen Christensen slopped he took one ,or two steps back and to the side of the road Lloyd moved to one side of the road andtarted toward Christ-j ensen. "Christensen commanded him to "halt right where you are.' Iloyd kept on going toward 1 hrlstcnsen, who then i put his hand to his hip pocket. He called to l.loyd to halt, nnd when about six feet away Christensen firnd and l.loyd sank to tin- ground Uoyd called call-ed to me to gt a doctor. 1 rushed toi his side and lifted him up Christen sen started down the road and met Orvllle Bybee. who begat; throwing rocks at him, and Christensen fired two more shots."
