Show DEAR OLD FREEMAN In our issue of last week, we told the good people of the camp what we thought of Freeman. We did this because we were of the impression that many of the residents of the camp did NOT know the conditions of this section of the town, and we were right. Many have asked us why we painted Freeman in such vivid style, and all we could answer was that it was painted as it really is. And, good people of Bingham, it is still the same as it was when we wrote of it last week. , ' A survey of the neighborhood shows that the cost per house for the laying of sewerage is around $12.00. Think of it. People are asked to live under the existing conditions for the sake of a paltry $12.00. Many of the land owners when questioned, stated" that they were more than willing to do their bit, and a movement is afoot to get all the property owners to-- gether and see what can be done. " The city officials have signified their willingness to assist in this work, although it was made plain that the finances at the present time would not warrant any more expenditures. Let all of the residents of Freeman Gulch hold a meeting and insist that something be done. Sitting back and letting George do it will never Ao anything for this disease producing neighborhood. |
