An emetic, a medicine to : Induce the victim to vomit, is the first WW, ' thing to he done in most cases Tick HB ling tho throat with finger or feather -Bp or drinking a large quantity of warm Br water will usually Induce vomiting. Br In tho caso of poisoning from cor- MWm I roplve poisons, an emetic Is not thf L-K host treatment. Such corrosive poi- H BOM uro sulphuric acid, hydrochloric vBWi acid, pltrlo acid, caustic coda, potash HP I and llmo. Treatment should be ce B 1 follows: neutralize the poison by glv- HSv I ing an alkali such as baking soda or Hp soap, for acid poisoning; and strong Hg fruit Juices or vinegar containing acid jfor alkali poisoning. Oive a large WM& 'quantity of some vegetable jr -mlma' Hp oil. such ns olive oil or castor oil to 'Hk' 1 dilute and soothe the burned Inner K parts; finally give stlmulanu, suh as Hft strong tea or coffee or aroraacic spirits lBi 'f ammonia.
