Show Thomas W. Fox and Wife Stop Here on Way From Coast to Pueblo Ogden's first automobile tourist Ins arrived. Camped in cnry tent in the tourist park near Lorln Karr park. Mr and Mrs. Thomas W Fox, hound from California to Colorado, claim they are -as comfortable as in any bungalow or apartment despite the cold night temperatures and tho many recent storms The couple arrived here three weeks! ago and when they drove their tent-stakes tent-stakes into the frozen ground they won the distinction of being the first 1 922 tourists to establish camp at tho park Mr. and Mrs. Fox spent the winter in California and are now on their way back to Pueblo, Colo . their home They may remain here a week or so yet, however before starting the last lap of their long Journr The early tourists came from Los Angelos over the Arrowhead trail and d'clnrc the roads were In good condition con-dition with the exception of a stretch near Sclplo where they ran into a ' MI'THt .... . I heavy storm They met many motorists motor-ists cointr to the coast, they said, but I Saw no one coming this way. Within , five days nfter they left tho coast, they pitched comp In I -gden The couple have lived In their small tent during the recent cold weather and yet declare they have been cozy and warm. The photo shows how they banked up the side of the tent With earth to keep out the wind. Tho chimney also shows they have a camp stove within which keeps away tho chill fingers of frust at night.
