Show 1 J ' - Mummiea Don't Latt ' Many persons are curious to know whut a mummy looks like after It is unwrapped. Recently af the Cleveland Museum of Art a mummy case which lied been on exhibition since 1914 was opened and the numerous bandRges covering the remains were unwound. Nothing was found Inside but a skeleton skele-ton and some cheap blue porcelain-beads porcelain-beads that hHd evidently once formed - g string. Not only the flesh had dls- appeared but time had disjointed the bones. There was a strong odor of , balsam. The mummy was that of Senbi, a king's scribe, who died In the ' : Twelfth Egyptian dynasty, gome four thousand years ago. It was found In Egypt. Senbi was of mixed Egyptian and Asiatic blood and died about the y age of thirty-five. , , |
