| Show attempted burglary an attempt was made shortly bo fore this morning to burglarize the ward store situated at the corner of fourth east and second south streets mr E woodford superintendent of the establishment who lives in one part of the building was awake at the time and hearing two men talking outside and endeavoring to got through a sort of trap in the front of the store called out chos there immediately the fellows de camped in ft hurry and returned no more the robbers were evidently under the impression that the waa unguarded and if mr had not been there would undoubtedly have effected an entrance as there wa nothing to bar their way but tho trap in the side of the nail fastened by the wooden gutlon aai awi |
