The touring bureaus of the American Automobile association in Washington and New York city both report that no day passes without inquiries in-quiries being received relative to road conditions and general information about tho various transcontinental routes. The bureaus for months have been in correspondence wltb highway officials, club secretaries and locai road boosters throughout the entire western section of the country, and In consequence a vast amount of Information Informa-tion about present road conditions, ho tel and garage accommodations and 'scenic and historic features. Eastern motorists in search of new thrills are urged to give consideration considera-tion to American tours this year, particularly par-ticularly as the battlefields of Europe will be thrown open to tourists for some time to come Most people are not aware of the tremendous amount o new construction work now going on in states which hitherto have done ' little or nothing in this respect. |
