Its passage makes It unlawful for dance hall proprietors to permit' any improper dancing or conduct. con-duct. Inspectors are to be appointed by the chief of police for special dance hall duty and they will enforce the regulation regarding the barring of persons under IS years of age who are not accompanied by parents or guardians. The new ordinance sets forth that persons who desire dajice hall permits must make application to the city recorder who will submit the application applica-tion to the city commission for investigation. in-vestigation. The fee for operation of dance halls will be ?2.50 a day or $50 a year. For violation of any provisions of the new ordinance the violators will be subjected to a fine not exceeding $290 or six months in jail.
