Show LEONARD INS FROM KELLY Bout Is Stopped in Fifth Round By Referee: Duffy Winner I NEW YORK. Nov. 17. Benny Leonard, lightweight champion secured se-cured a technical derision over Harlem Har-lem Eddie Kelly 'in the fifth round of a scheduled 12 round contest at the Commonwealth Sporting club here tonight The referee stopped the bout after Leonard had severely punished pun-ished the loeal boxer. Kelly attempted to taunt Leonard with lefts to the head, but the cham-i cham-i pion held him off easily. In the sec-' sec-' ond round Leonard delivered a hard i left to Kelly's stomach and a right lo the head, following with a short right uppercut. Kelly was groggy at the bell. In the third round Leonard landed a left and badly cut his opponents oppo-nents right eye Leonard took a left hook after drlv-j drlv-j lng lefts to Kelly's body and following follow-ing with rights to the head. He repeated re-peated these punV-hes in the fifth and after one minute and 13 seconds of fighting floored KHlv with a long left to the jaw. Kelly was not out but was assisted to his corner by Referee Jack Skellev. who then waved Leonard Leon-ard away declaring the bout at an end. Leonard's weight was announced at 136 at 2 o'clock and Kelly's at 141 1-2. In his first appearance here, Jeff Duffy. Chicago middleweight knocked out Terry Mitchell of Bayonne, N.
