Show Want Every Soldier to Get Victory Medal Efforts to place a victory medai In I the hands of every person so entitled, are being made by the army In Utah this work Is in charge of j Captain P. D Parkinson In charge of I the army recruiting station at Salt Lake. What steps are to be taken to ob-; ob-; lain these medals are contained In a j communication by Captain Parkinson, which follow "Have you made application for the Victory Medal? Should you know of ' any persons who served In the United .States army between April 0 1917, and November 11 1918, and were j honorably discharged who have not made application for the Victory Mid-I Mid-I al. this office would be glad to get I In touch with them and assist them to secure this medal "It seems there Is a question as to who Is entitled to receive the Victory Vic-tory Medal. For the Information of those the following Is published: "All persons who served honorably In the United States army at any time between April 6. 1917, and November 11, 1918. regardless of where this service was Next of kin. of persons who died in the ser len or after separation from the service ane entitled to receive this medal We would be glad to hear from the next of kin and assist in preparing application to secure the Victory Medal Tho following Is published pub-lished for those concerned In this paragraph: "Write or call at this office for application. ap-plication. "If deceased died in the service no supporting papers are necessary "If deceased died aftor separation from the service, the discharge should b sent together with application to this office, the discharge win be returned re-turned within (24) hours "For any further Information concerning con-cerning the Victory Medal call or write to the U. 8 Army Recruiting Station, Salt Lake City, Utah " |
