McLaughlin, a few years ago, opened up a paint shop and began to mako automobiles more beautiful and improve their physical phys-ical condition very materially. His beginning be-ginning was on rather a small scalo i but as time went on his business grow j and its Importance became more fully ; understood, until ho found that it was . necessary to enlarge the capacity of . his plant and employ helpers, and this ' wai not the end, for the demand for . car painting In lsis shop became so , great that it was necessary for him to ; build and move into brand spanking now quarters, three or four times larger larg-er than he first occupied. A few months ago the first work on ; the construction of a new plant began, i since which time it has been complet i ed nd he is now doing business there, 1715-17 Washington avenue. Th? new quarters are commodious and efficient in overy respect, being a modern auto ! ' paint shop that vies with the bosf i.r tho country. In this new place tin au- tomobilr may be taken in its unkempt, dust-,, muddy, blistered and ugly form and transformed into u glistening, fine ly polished car. . Tp. accomplish thi? the machine is taken through tin.-cleaning tin.-cleaning and sanding department,. from thore to the painting and varnishing' departments, back to the mechanical , division where the parts aro re-assembled, touched up n little more, and turned back to the owner in a perfect-1 ly painted condition. Mr Mclaughlin Mc-laughlin is a professional car pHintr ! himself and the help employed is ex-i ex-i pert in detail. The building is so arranged thai work on a car is done with every convenience con-venience at hand and the work is dispatched dis-patched with speed and efficiency. It has a frontage of 100 feet on Wash-jingron Wash-jingron avenue and is 110 feet deep, divided' di-vided' into departments to accommo-1 dafo the business. The building is wcl;! He Js now actively engaged in the businesrv devoting his entire time to it. Mr : Storey was formerly Weber countv treasurer and clerk and was also identified iden-tified with tho Security State bank as- : assistant cashier. lie is pleased with his new undertaking and feels that : the prospect's for the auto-painting i business in Ogden are bright.
