Show Service Men to Have fl Prior Rights of Entry 1 WASHINGTON, Feb. 6. Soldiers, H sailors and marines who served in the world war will have prior rights of entry on the vast North Platte and Shoshone irrigation projects in Wyom jfl ing to be opened up next month. jH Secretary Lane announced today th6 joint resolution of congress giving lion- jfl orably discharged service men a pref-erence pref-erence right in obtaining lands under the homestead act, that first applica- H lion of the provisions of the resolution vM would be applied to the North Platte lH and Shoshone projects. The North Platte tract will be open- 11 ed to entry by ex-service men March fl 5 and the Shoshone project March 13. The right of priority in favor of for- mor service men will be in forco fo: jH sixly days, after which remaining lands will be available for public, en try. Thus the public will be permit fl ted to enter on the North Platte tract May 1, and on the Shoshone May 12. fl |
