Show AWARDS ANNOUNCED - IN BOi HOUSE : CONTEST r I I W. Karl Hopkins, superintendent of tho city schools and George W. Sander manual training supervisor, visited the Lewis, Grant, Mound Fort and Madison Madi-son schools this morning to make the awards to sixth grade manual training train-ing boys who had won in tho contest , for best bird houses. No report could be obtained from tho Madison school, at the time of going to press, but In the others, tho winners are: Lewis Desmond Owens, first; Oscar Os-car Van Battenberg, second; Grant Glenn Waldort. first; Frank Eckberg, second; Mound Fort Stanley Comp-ton, Comp-ton, first; Earl Gulllckson, second. The prize for tho first awards was a Boy Scout hatchet, and the second prizes were a manual of Boy Scout .and manual training hints. I in |
