Show Senator Smoot to Meet Governors SALT LAKE, Aug. ft Senator Reed Smoot and Franklin K Lane, secre. tary of the interior, are amonc those who have advised Governor Bamberger Bamberg-er that they -w ill attend the governor s conferenen if they can leave Washing, ton. William B. Wilson, secretary of labor, also has written that he will come, if possible. Information in press dispatch.-s from Spokane is to the effect that Governor Louis P. Hart will not at tempt to hold a preliminary conference confer-ence here next week on reclamation matters, as he had proposed. The favorable responses were not sufficient suffi-cient for calling the meeting. In order to urge governors to call special sessions of legislatures to ratify the Susan B. Anthony amendment amend-ment to the constitution, a number of prominent women will visit Salt Lake during tho governors' conference next week. This announcement has Just been received by Mrs. H. J.
