OCR Text	Show Shell Splinter Strikes Him in the Chest During the German Ger-man Bombardment. PARIS, March 25 An American corporal of marines was struck In the chest by a shell splinter of one of the first shells which fell during Saturday's Satur-day's bombardment of Paris by the Germans. He was wounded seriously but his life probably was saved by the deflection of the splinter by a cigarette case. So far as has been reported he is the only American victim of the bpmbardment. Thp Matin says one of the shells fired in the direction of Paris yesterday yester-day struck a church in tho suburbs. Several persons who were attending a Palm Sunday service were killed.
