Show oo J. G. PHELPS STOKES GOES TO WIFE'S AID NEW YORK, March 24. J. G. Phelps Stokes, one-time Socialist leader lead-er but who espoused the cause of tho United States upon the nation's entry into the war, is today on his way to Kansas City, Mo to give what aid he can to his wife, Mrs. Rose Pastor Stokes, who was arrested at Willow Springs, Mo., on a charge of violating the espionage act. Mrs. Stokes letf tho Socialist party with her husband, but later returned to it She will be taken to Kansas City for a hearing, which probably will take place tomorrow. |
