Show Odd Coincidence Occurs iii British Fighting in East LONDON, Aug. 16. A curious coincidence coin-cidence comes to light in connection with the arrival-of the British at Baku. The garrison consisted largely of Bol-shoviki, Bol-shoviki, who with Armenians woro opposing tho Turks. Thus tho British whilo fighting tho Bolsheviki in tho north are co-operating with them in the south. Aside from the Caspian operations there has been a movement of British troops from India to Turkestan. These passod through Baluchistan and cast-em cast-em Persia and joined forces with tho Turcomans, Bokharans and local Social-Revolutionaries who are fighting the Bolsheviki. The British are also guarding the trans-Caspain railroad to prevent the enemy from gaining access ac-cess to Afghanistan and the Indian frontier. |
