V This is the first German air raid over 1 England in more than a month. Tho c last previous raid occurred on the A about thirty airplanes in seven groups. Eight persons wore killed and twenty- 1 two injured. Bad weather cpnditions o probably have been responsible for the A pause in the German operations 1 The text of tho report by Field Mar- shal Lord French, commander of the I British home forces, regarding the air 1 raid, is as follows: c "A raid by about 25 enemy airplanes i took place early this morning. The I first group of raiders came in over Kent at 10:30 a. m. and dropped A bombs in various places on and near I the coast. The second group made 5 land shortly after 3 a. m." |
