The safe, which had been left unblocked, un-blocked, was oponed by the intruders jwho scattered papers and documents 'upon the floor. A number of checks j were examined and thrown out of tho safe, but so far as could be learned j nothing of value was taken. An acetylene machipe used in cut-ting cut-ting the steel was found near the safe. , This had been stolen from the autonio bile shop of George Huss, 2343 Hudson Hud-son avenue, a few hours before. Evidently Evi-dently the robbers, upon finding the safe open, had abandoned th acetv lene outfit and made a hurried search before departure. 1 Entrance into the place was gained by prying off a rear door. |
