Gentlemen: The com-' manding officer has directed me to reply to your communication of December De-cember 2nd relative to discharge of Private Joseph Bocrens, A. S. (A) No. 1.096.S47. . I ''In order to securo the honorable discharge of Private Boerens. it will be. necessary for his mother to submit ' an affidavit stating that, she is totally dependent upon her son. A second affidavit, af-fidavit, signed by two or more disinterested dis-interested parties, not In any way related re-lated to the applicant for discharge, must also be prepared, bearing out the statements of the soldier's mother.
