Andrews, in charge of the garden gar-den workers of the Ogden City School Garden clubs, has issued the following follow-ing Instructions: "With the opening of spring, every one is thinking of gardens and what each can do to improve his surroundings. surround-ings. Now is the time to begin if you have not already commenced. All gar-dons gar-dons in the upper parts of town are now ready for spading and planting of all the hardy vegetables, such as radishes, rad-ishes, peas, onions, carrots, turnips, early potatoes which may be planted in a few days safely. "Every thoughtful gardener should also have sonio of tho more tender plants, such as tomatoes, cabbage, peppers, pep-pers, eggplants, startod in a box in the house window or hotbed. These should be well aiong and ready to set out about May 1, possibly sooner this season. Plant your seeds now and see how they grow. "Tho same may be said of flowers for the girls and boys who contemplate planting some this year. "It is much desired that the parents aid their children in securing a desirable desir-able piece of ground at once and encourage en-courage theni to raise all vegetables necessary for the family use. In this they may become thrifty and Hoover-ize Hoover-ize by raising enough for two families. Later, canning clubs may bo organized among tho girls to can tho winter vegetables for the family.
