Show PARCELS AND LETTERS FOB MEMO WEI HELD PRISONERS .Insomuch as many American prisoners prison-ers of war in Germany have already been released in accordance with the terms of the armistice, and have rejoined re-joined the American Expeditionary Forces, the war department no longer long-er deems it, advisable to address to a prisoner at a camp in Germany any matter mailed in the future. The war department, upon receiving information that a former prisoner has rejoined the American Expeditionary Forces, will promptly notify the person per-son designated by the former prison or to be informed In case of emergency, emergen-cy, and thereafter mail for such former for-mer prisoner should be addressed to the A. E. F., the address to include the following: Addressee's rank and name. Designation of company and regiment regi-ment of which he was a member when captured. The words "American Expeditionary Forces in Europe." In the lower left corner of the address ad-dress side the words, "Former prisoner pris-oner of war in Germany." Such mail cannot bo sent free, but will be chargeable with postage at the domestip rates and subject in all other oth-er respects to the conditions governing govern-ing the sending of mail to other members mem-bers of the A. E. F. in Europe. A Christmas parcel not to exceed three pounds in weight may be mallod to such former prisoners under the same conditions which are applicable to Christmas parcels sent to the A. E. F. in Europe. oo |
