Show oo ENLISTING FOR SPECIAL SERVICE The first man to list himself with the local city exemption board as a volunteer for the mechanical service of the army, a call for which was I made yesterday, is James M. Pierce. Mr. Pierce registered this morning with the board and gave his qualifications qualifi-cations as those of an all-round automobile auto-mobile mechanic, gas motors included. An urgent call has been made for mechanics by the government and; draft registrants are asked to register; if they can fill any of the positions announced The names will first be listed and the government will then make us call on the boards for the men needed. oo- |
