Show RECORD BROKEN IN SALE OF STAMPS' The record for sale of war saving stamps, according to William C, Wright, chairman, and W. F. Burton, j of the county committee, belongs to J William R. Mclntyrc of Hunt nl. Mr. Mclntyre is chairman of the Hunts-1 ville war savings committee and he j has personally disposed of $1565 worth of war savings stamps. This is declared to be the highest individual individ-ual record in the county. Mr. Mclntyre has been ono of the ttva tvlre In nil war activities in the valley and has been instrumental in Red Cross work, Liberty loan work 1 and other patriotic endeavors. The Liberty loan committee of HuntSVille, consisting of Chairman Alma Peterson. L. K. Nelson and Mr Mclntyre yesterday visited the resi-1 dents of that town and succeeded in j placing 18100 worth of liberty bonds. Which Is $900 less than the town's ap-1 portionment. Mr. Peterson declared today the total would be reached and the town would "go over" In the course of the week. The Iluntsville school is planning a dance for the benefit of the Liberty loan issue. It Is proposed to raise enough money to buy a $100 bond and turn this over to the school library when il IS paid |
