(By the Associated Press) In their offensive between the Meuse and the Aire the Americans havo scored an advance of 1 from two to three miles moving over the most difficult country encountered In the Argonne fighting. Among tho towns reported captured is Cunel, a I mile and a half northeast of Roraagne. FRENCH HEADQUARTERS IN FRANCE, Oct. 5. (Reuter's) 5 p. m. In eastern Champagne the Germans are falling back on the line of the Arnes river. This line has been reached by the American troops who have taken St. Etlnne-a-Arues. PARIS, Oct. 5 The forward sweep of the Americans is progressing brilliantly, bril-liantly, according to advices received by La Liberte this afternoon.
