Show YOIG II iSlEEN RANG ROME OE CRIMAI In the arrest of Ellsworth Moore, IS years old and living at 967 Twelfth street, Detecfive Robert Chambers believes be-lieves he has tho genius of a band of youthful maurauders who have been operating in that section of the city. Detective Chambers already has se cured a confession from Moore that last Saturday he stole a basket of celery, cel-ery, containing twelve bunches, from Lang Lee, a Chinese vegetable vender, and sold his loot to various grocers for a total sum of $1.40. Tho boy also confessed to the olilcer that he had stolen chickens from the henhouse and disposed of them to Lang Leo, from whom he later stole tho celery. Although subjected to a stiff cross-' fire this morning by Detective Chambers, Cham-bers, the prisoner failed to identify his associates, if he has any associates. He was placed in jail pending a further fur-ther examination. |
