Atlantic Gulf shares were in demand at an advance ad-vance of almost three points in the first half hour and Mexican Petroleum gained two points. Industrials wore but slightly changed though mainly higher and rails were firm to strong, Canadian Pacific gaining a point. United States Steel hardened after early Irregularity and other equipments equip-ments showed moderate Improvement, Liberty bonds wore unchanged. Trading became more active later with an extension of gains, rails alone holding back. The movement coincided coin-cided with the publication of extracts from the German chancellor's speech which Wall street regarded as essentially essen-tially significant at this juncture. Extreme Ex-treme gains of 1 to 2 points in equipments, equip-ments, shippings, rails and fertilizers were partly surrendered at noon. Further Fur-ther strength was shown by French muncipal bonds.
